Dave Schultz joins the Fargo Country Club as its new Head Golf Professional! A Fargo native, Dave grew up at the Fargo Country Club, and this announcement marks a full circle return home for him.
Dave shares, “the Fargo Country Club has always been a special place for me. Growing up here, I took swimming lessons, tennis lessons, and golf lessons from Steve Weidner. It was an incredible childhood and being the Head Golf Professional here will allow me to share with others how special the Fargo Country Club is and be a part of enhancing their lifelong memories.”
After graduating from Fargo South and Texas Christian University, Dave went on to have a long career as a professional golfer highlighted by three years on the Nationwide Tour (now Korn Ferry Tour), starts on the PGA Tour, and a 2006 Bobcat ND Open victory. Dave’s amateur golf career is highlighted by wins at the Pine-to-Palm, two-time Birchmont and three-time KX champion, ND Stroke and Match Play championships, the 2004 Bobcat ND Open, and the 1999 ND State High School Individual Championship as a sophomore.
Dave spent five years as General Manager and Head Golf Professional at Maple River Golf Club before accepting the position with the Fargo Country Club. Dave brings an energy and passion to the role.
